We started introducing books and flashcards to Ashton when he was about 7 months young and was able to sit on his own.
We make reading/ bedtime story part of Ashton's daily routine. We find him developed his interest in reading and is liking it more and more each day...
At about 10 months+ of age, before Ashton started to walk or call daddy/ mommy; he already knew a few words from reading. He pointed to objects like ball, car and kite in the book and said them out. Besides, he can point to some objects in the books if you ask him to - e.g. tree, flower...
At the 14th month, he already has over 50 words in his first words list...
Here's a video of darling flashing cards with the iPad for Ashton. I think soother is one of the greatest products for baby; you can see how it soothed Ashton in this video :-))
