Melbourne - St. Kilda Breakwater

It has been a year since our last visit to Melbourne. Time flies... Sigh!

We decided to post a few entries about our trip to Melbourne, and today's entry is gonna be on St. Kilda.

Personally, we find St. Kilda is a very nice place to visit, and we would say it is heaven for photographers!

No kidding. Despite the cute little wild life like penguins etc, it has fantastics scenery...

You can snap very beautiful pics even with just an ordinary digital camera!

YS was in the right mood so he managed to take some nice photos :)

How nice if we have a DSLR...

It was already tea time after the sight-seeing and photography session. So we just stopped at one of the cafes to have a cup of hot chocolate and black forest cake.

Another thing to share is, they sell very delicious cakes in St. Kilda. If you happen to visit St. Kilda, do give it a try :) You will surely love it!

Merry Christmas

Time flies... and it's Christmas, again! We celebrated our last Christmas in Melbourne...

Last year when we were in Melbourne, we did lotsa shopping... Things were really cheap in Melbourne -__-! Exp. on boxing day!

And for this year, we decided to have our Christmas celebration Bukit Bintang. We re-visited Jogoya for a Christmas buffet dinner... We had a good time there ;)

There was a huge crowd in Bukit Bintang last night. Everybody was there for X'mas countdown. Nonetheless, it didn't excite us. Perhaps we're old adi -_-

Do share with us your Christmas celebration, too! Merry Christmas to all of you! Happy Holidays!

Three Busy Days & One Wedding

My baby and I went back to Ipoh to attend my sister's wedding ceremony.

we were actually quite looking forward to this event.

Almost of all of my family members and relatives (father & mother side - Uncles, Aunties, cousins etc) attended the wedding and i haven't met with some of them for quite some times.

I had a bittersweet feeling after the wedding ceremony, I miss my sister, sigh.

And I had a bad headache. It was all because of the business of the wedding thing... I never thought it would be so busy (and messy). I've underestimated the situation.

To all our relatives and friends who sacrified their valuable weekends and holiday just to attend my sister, Brenda's wedding, you will never know how grateful on your time spent. We really appreciated it.

Though there were some unhappy moments, we truly hope Brenda can live happily ever after with her hubby.

Is 2008 a Wedding Year?

It seems to us that this year is a good year to get married! We're not talking about it blindly, we have proof! We have evidence!!

Let's just look at our friend circle. Many of our friends are getting in these few months, starting from October to January. So far I guess there are around 8 of them!!
  • Our Ex-Colleagues: Shuh Yong and Chen Chaing, Jimmy and Bee Lim, Michele & Partner, Bee Ai and Chang Ye
  • My Secondary School Mates: Kay Lee & Partner, Rice & Partner
  • YS's Sister: Brenda & CM
  • My Coursemate: Winnie and Andrew
Hmm... did we miss anyone out?

First, we have our cute and beautiful bride Shuh Yong. She and her darling Chen Chiang just got married last week. We quite like their pre-wed photos personally.

This is a really lovely and sweet photo, and we quite like it! Not sure if we dare to try this too?

A week after Shuh Yong's, we will have Jimmy and Bee Lim's wedding.

Yes they are getting married this coming weekend! And YS will be his 'heng dai' on his wedding day and get ready to be tortured by the Bee Lim's 'ji mui' -_________-"

Next is YS's secondary classmate Kay Lee. Her wedding day is just a week after Jimmy's.

Then we have Bee Ai & Chang Ye, and Michele and her dear. Both the couples will get married on the same day, which is in early December.

Basically the pre-wedding photos of Bee Ai and Change Ye are kinda cute and funny, um I mean quite fresh and relax :D

This is YS's sister Brenda, and her wedding day falls on the same day as Bee Ai's and Michele's.

Basically I quite like Brenda's pre-wedding outdoor photos. We do not have the pics to share here though.

After YS's sister's wedding, we will have to attend YS's best friend, Rice's wedding.
He is indeed the very 1st friend in YS's secondary school gang who get married :D and the gang are thinking of how to torture him on his wedding -______-

Lastly we have Winnie and Andrew. Her pre-wedding photos was shot under the sea!

We've heard about underwater wedding a lot of times, but this is the 1st time we're seeing it! Thats cool man!

Now you believe us after seeing our friends' pre-wedding photos? Can we conclude that 2008 is a wedding year? :D Anyway, of all the pics, which one do you prefer better? Hmm... Quite hard to choose one ya?

Last but not least, congratz to all the lovely couples
above on their wedding! Happy Wedding!

Note: All the above photos were grabbed from our friends' Friendster, Facebook and Flickr.

Malacca Trip - 'Jonker-Walking' :D

Jonker Walk is definitely one of the places that should not be missed when visiting Malacca - the Historical Town.

The weather was just nice (it was a gloomy day but it did not rain) on the day we visited Malacca, and we felt rather comfortable doing our shopping, sight-seeing and makan-ing there :D

A vast variety of souvenirs and nice foods can be found here.

For instance, the very-cute stationaries,

and all-ladies-like accessories...

as well as a wide variety of key chain and cellphone accessories etc...

Not forgetting the very well-known and must-buy freshy baked pineapple cookies! Yummy!!

Last but not least, let us show ya our newly bought couple tee, I Love Darling! Cute huh?! :D

Malacca Trip - All about 'Makan'

Basically our trip to Malacca was all about makan-makan :D 好吃!! Guess we have put on a few kilos after the trip :X

Besides the must-eats, for example, Satay Celup,

our all-time favourite Chendol with Gula Malacca,

and the very appetizing the Nyonya Dishes...

we would like to recommend our new found love - Restaurant LEE (肥李). It's located at Ayer Keroh (near to Jusco). As stated in the above pic - 'We Sell Quality, not sell quantity', basically Restaurant LEE is a Chinese Restaurant that sell high quality food. Even 食神涛涛 from Hong Kong,My FM DJ 林德荣,颜微恩 etc. tasted the very yummylicious foods at Restaurant LEE before.

Restaurant Lee's Chef Recommendation: Cheese Bihoon (芝士生虾米粉)

Another Chef Recommendation: Fresh Cream Crabs (奶油螃蟹)

Basically Cheese Bihoon and Fresh Cream Crabs are the must-eat at Restaurant LEE. If you're planning to visit Malacca, you may try them too! Believe us, they were REALLY HO JIAK!! They don't look tempting in the pictures, though. Nonetheless, they taste real good! Thumbs up!!

Paradigm Shift

What do you see in the picture below? A young beautiful lady or... an old ugly woman?

What I saw was initially a young pretty woman... However... after a few attempts, finally I SEE the composite picture in another way. I see the old ugly woman at last! It's really happy to get such 'Aha! Experience' from a paradigm shift.

What Stephen Covey said was true. How can I head to the 'destination' if I was given a WRONG map?

Guess I really need a paradigm shift in my career.

Melbourne - Street Performers in Melbourne City

Um... Is it a statue or is she a real human?!

Nah she is definately a real human. She is indeed a street performer in the city of Melbourne. Basically Street performers are commonly seen Melbourne (and in Sydney too), and they are rather creative and innovative!

Here's another street performer. Look at his attire! Guess he really spent a lot of effort and money $$ on it!

Serious! These people can earn a living by being street performers. Trust me, I have seen many kind people give these performers 10, 50 or even 100 Aussie for their performance!!

Wonder if we can do the same here in Malaysia to earn a living? Hmm...
